Pine Forest Elementary

Overview

Pine Forest Elementary’s playground welcomes children back to school with an ocean of adventure! Designed for ages 5–12, this sea-inspired play space features a massive pirate ship and a giant octopus packed with climbing challenges, sky-high views, and thrilling slides.

Children can balance, explore, and imagine with sculpted concrete treasure chest, log steppers, climbers, and playful sea creatures scattered throughout the playground.

A variety of spinners, sensory panels, boat We-saw™, and swings ensure fun and excitement throughout the entire play space.

The seamless poured-in-place surfacing makes the playground accessible to children of all abilities while enhancing the theme with sharks, squid, a message in a bottle, a treasure island marked with an “X,” and more!

This incredible playground was made possible through a combination of funding sources, including the Humble ISD 2022 Bond, federal ESSER funds, City of Houston (TIRZ) support, and Humble ISD savings.
