Hidden Hollow Elementary

Overview
Hidden Hollow Elementary’s western-themed playground brings imaginative play to life! Inspired by the school mascot, the roadrunner, this vibrant playscape features a train, water tower, and a collection of western storefronts, including a bank, jail, general store, and hotel. Designed for kids aged 5 to 12, the main structure incorporates climbing features and interactive activity panels that invite exploration and adventure. From the top of the structure, children can take in the view before choosing a slide for a thrilling ride to the western-style street below.
The fun extends across the playground with spinners, swings, ziplines, and a custom net climber designed to look like a train. The poured-in-place rubber surfacing ensures safety while adding to the theme with designs of cacti, train tracks, cow skulls, and more!
This incredible playground was made possible through a combination of funding sources, including the Humble ISD 2022 Bond, federal ESSER funds, City of Houston (TIRZ) support, and Humble ISD savings.
